Is PDF Next really free?

Yes. Every tool on this site is free to use with no sign-up, no daily limits and no watermarks.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF Next runs entirely in your browser using code that downloads with the page. Your files are read and written on your device and never sent over the internet.

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?

Load a tool, switch on airplane mode or disconnect from the internet, and use it. It still works, because nothing needs to be sent anywhere.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. PDF Next works in modern browsers on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebooks.

Is there a PDF Next app?

Yes. PDF Next for Android adds reading, signing and form filling, a document scanner, conversions and more, all on your phone. It is free on Google Play, with ads and an optional PDF Next Pro; a few tools that are free on this website, such as passwords, watermarks and page numbers, are Pro tools in the app.

What about password-protected PDFs?

They work with every tool. Add the file and type its password when asked; it is used only on your device. Results are saved without a password. Use Unlock PDF to remove a password, or Protect PDF to add one.
